What is religion?

This was a question I often asked myself when I heard stories of the Partition from my great grand parents as a mere ten year old. A merciless, mindless conflict which left a deep imprint on their psyche. It is a question that I have been asking and discussing ever since. I have met seven religious leaders and discussed their perspective on what is religion and what it should really mean for people in their daily lives.
